The tension between Russia and the US has been increasing, with a series of attacks and counter-attacks taking place between them. America has also accused the former of “war crimes” in Syria earlier that escalated the bitterness between the two nations, which continued to exist after the Cold War. At the moment, both the nations are experiencing the same level of tension that they used to have during the Cold War.
Where America is blaming Russia for the Syria conflict, Russia has accused the US of “unprecedented threats” and “borderline insolence” on Sunday. This has come following the failure of attempts of talks on the ceasefire in Syria.
“The threats directed against Moscow and our state’s leadership are unprecedented because they are voiced at the level of the US vice president,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said as quoted by The Daily Star Online. “To the backdrop of this aggressive, unpredictable line, we must take measures to protect our interests, to hedge risks.”
On the other hand, Russian military official Lt General Yevgeny Buzhinsky has claimed that the West nations were provoking their anger. “Of course there is a reaction. As far as Russia sees it, as Putin sees it, it is full-scale confrontation on all fronts. If you want a confrontation, you’ll get one,” he said. “But it won’t be a confrontation that doesn’t harm the interests of the United States. You want a confrontation, you’ll get one everywhere.”
Russia has become one of the major threats for not only the United States as far as World War 3 is concerned but also a danger for the rest of the world. The actions and reactions, all indicating international conflict, have alarmed nations worldwide, making them prepare for the next conflict that will go down in history.
