Four IAF officers complete Fighter Controllers’ course

An impressive graduation ceremony was held at Air Force Station Memaura on December 11 to mark the culmination of 154th Fighter Controllers’ Course. Flying Officer Himanshu Wadhwani was adjudged ‘Best in Overall Performance’. The valedictory function was presided over by Air Marshal MK Malik, Air Officer-in-Charge Administration.

Air Marshal MK Malik is an accomplished Fighter Controller and has held many field, instructional, command and staff appointments, both in operations as well as in administration.

He has earlier commanded the Air Defence College between 2000 and 2002. He was Director General (Works & Ceremonials) at Air Headquarters before appointment of Air Officer-in-Charge Administration of the Indian Air Force.

The course commenced in July 2016 with an intake of four Indian Air Force and six international trainees.
The international students passed out from the college in September 2016. The IAF officers having undergone six month rigorous training received the coveted Fighter Controller Brevet and course completion certificate. The meritorious trainees were awarded with trophies and medallions.

The ceremony was attended by Group Captain MJ Augustine, Station Commander, Air Force Station Memaura, Varsha Augustine, President, AFWWA (Local) and other dignitaries.
